RTI TO VAT DEPARTMENT FOR FALSE BILLS

SUB.: REQUEST FOR INFORMATION UNDER RTI ACT, 2005.

Sir,

Please provide me the information about the following enclosed documents verifying the same from ____________________________________________________________________________, as written confirmation in token of its proof under Right to Information Act, 2005, Section-8(1)(j) / Section-22 :-

i) A dtd. dd.mm.yyyy for Rs. XXXXXXX/- &

ii) B dtd. dd.mm.yyyy for Rs. XXXXX/-

Both above are part of same document

1. Please inform me whether the above claimed bill was actually issued by them.
2. Please inform me whether this is a valid bill / retail invoice and applicable taxes actually paid on the same.
3. If not, please inform me what is the authenticity of the said bill.
4. Please inform me whether the said jeweller is actually registered with the department of trade and taxes.
5. If yes, please inform me the correct & authentic name, address and number of his VAT Registration.
6. The pattern of bills indicates the involvement of high amounts.  Please provide me the information in the documentary evidence (avoid to produce opinion) collected from the said jeweller, that whether this is a true bill or simply issued spurious / bogus bills of no purchase / sale and had / had not paid the VAT on the same.
7. Please provide me the certified copies of the information collected from the jeweller for the same.
8. Please provide me the CD containing scanned copies of bill books / cash memos for the X quarter of year 201X-201X issued by the said jeweller.
9. Please provide me the information as to whether the said jeweller had paid applicable taxes on his sales during FY 201X, 201Y and 201Z
10. Please provide me the CD containing details of returns filed by the said jeweller for X quarter of year 201X-201X.
11. Please inform me the name and address of the purchaser (if any) of above jewellery, as per the records submitted by the said jeweller with your department.
12. Please provide me the copies of Form-30 & Form-31 of the said jeweller during FY 201X-1X.

I state that these document(s) are submitted in a criminal case in the court of law as proofs of Jewellery. The case is against “The State”. Hence this information is of public interest. I state that the information sought does not fall within the restrictions/exceptions contained in the RTI Act.

The requisite fee of Rs.10.00 is attached herewith bearing IPO No._____________

Also, I hereby submit that I will pay any additional charges, as per the RTI ACT, which may arise on account of providing the documents/CD.

Kindly avoid using statements as ‘no comments’, as proper information is mandatory in the interest of justice.  The information may be furnished within the prescribed time limit under the provisions of RTI Act, 2005.
