SUCCESS STORY – PUNJAB & HARYANA HIGH COURT QUASHES FIR AGAINST SISTER AND BHABHI OF OUR WARRIOR SUMIT KALRA
BackGround: Sumit Kalra was a simpleton like most of us. A false case of 498A/ 406 was registered against him in PS Narnaund, Hisar. He was called to the Police Station for inquiry and was arrested on the same day disregarding the guidelines issued in Arnesh Kumar Judgment. Like other usual 498a stories his family members were made part of the FIR.
Counter-Attack: As has been already posted in another Success Story, he initiated actions in stata Human Rights Commission and was able to get cmpensation for illegal and arbitrary arrest. That Success Story is Reported here.
In parallel he filed quash petition on behalf of his Sister and Bhabhi on strong legal grounds. And Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court in its detailed order quashed proceedings against them. The said order by Hon’ble P&H HC is available here:
