Success Story- Discharge of all accused from from 498A / 406- FULL STORY
Background: Dr. Gaurav Paul was married to Deepali. Things went downhill and Deepali then filed a case against Dr. Gaurav and all his family members alleging all sorts of allegations. Two main allegations were that accused demanded Rs. 1,20,000/- for her own education and the Stridhan was entrusted to her mother-in-law. An FIR was registered by police, the case was investigated and charge sheet was filed by Police.
Defence: The FIR and the complete charge sheet was perused. It was seen that there were no specific incidents mentioned in the complaint or in CrPC 161 Statements of the complainant or other witnesses. It was also seen that though date was mentioned (After 2-3 days) of Stridhan taken away by Mother-in-law, but specifics as to what was entrusted was missing.
